HEY THERE, new friend
I'm a nervous-system-informed yoga and meditation teacher. I work with people who are good at what they do and paying for it — in their sleep, in their bodies, in the quiet moments when they can't turn it off.
What I do is help your nervous system find real calm.
Not as a reward for slowing down. As the foundation that makes everything else sustainable.
I've been teaching for more than eleven years. Before this, I spent a decade in BigLaw. I know what your days actually look like, and I know what it costs when your body never gets to come down.
During the four-hour observation period after the injection, I practiced yoga in the hospital room.
Not because I wasn't nervous. Because I knew what to do with nervous.
In May 2020, I became the first volunteer in the NYU Langone Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine trial.
Here is what I did not tell many people at the time: I had learned just four months earlier that I would not be able to have children.
The door to that particular future had closed quietly, in January, in a doctor's office, while the rest of the world was still figuring out what a coronavirus was.
When the email came through about the trial — forwarded by my husband, a physician at NYU — I read the eligibility criteria. One of them was that participants could not become pregnant for the duration of the study.
The very thing that had brought me so much grief had, in a strange and specific way, made me exactly the right person for this. I signed up that week.
I bring the same things to my teaching that I brought to that room: steadiness under pressure, careful judgment, and a genuine belief that the nervous system can be worked with, not just endured.
The program director later called me "the perfect first patient."
My experience was covered by NBC, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, and TODAY. I shared it publicly because I believed in what the science was doing — and because I have never thought that calm and courage were opposites.

And something clicked.
